Son nom sonne comme étant l’un des plus connus du Royaume-Uni, mais JOHN SMITH (Absolute / UK) gagne à être connu. En effet, il a joué un peu partout autour du monde depuis des concerts en appartement, des festivals de plein air, ou des salles de concerts plus classiques, dont certaines complètes. Les critiques qui l’ont vu n’ont pas manqué de comparer son puissant chant comme son jeu de guitare à Ray Lamontagne ou John Martyn.

Son dernier album, « Headlong », a été produit par Sam Lakeman et mixé par Ruadhri Cushnan (Mumford & Sons, Flo Morrissey, The Maccabees).
